mangodata is a powerful yet easy to use multi-user database for education. It allows pupils to easily create a database, enter information and then search the data to display results through a range of graphs. This information might include a class survey, historical census information or perhaps the results of a scientific investigation. There is a ‘live’ link between the graphs and the data so that when the data is changed, the graphs are automatically updated.

The multi-user feature allows several pupils to enter data into the same database at the same time. These pupils could be on the same network or perhaps in different schools or even different countries! When one user enters data into the database it is instantly displayed on every other user’s copy of mangodata. The database can be password protected and, if necessary, access can be limited to selected users.

Your database
Display your database either as a table of information or use the ‘Form designer’ to create, for example, a form to display individual records or for creating a ‘data entry’ form.

Power Searches Either use the simple ‘Data Explorer’ or older pupils can use the SQL Script Editor for really complex searches.

Sharing your data
There is no need to enter all the information by yourself! Just choose who else you would like to use your database and they can enter their own information. mangodata creates true multi-user databases which mean that users do not even need to be in the same class or even the same country!

Import If you have a large amount of information already created in programs such as Information Workshop or Excel, quickly import it into mangodata.

Searching your data
Search for information in moments using the ‘filter’ dialog or for greater power, use the ‘Data Explorer’.

User levels Choose one of the four built-in levels or create your own for different ages and abilities, which means that mangodata is suitable for Infant, Junior or High School.
